U.P. Man Accused Of Baby Torture Bound Over

A West Branch Township man accused of child abuse and torture had his case bound over to circuit court.

27–year–old Nicholas Racine appeared in Marquette County District Court Thursday.

Police arrested Racine back on June 25th.

According to the Michigan State Police, Racine is accused of severely injuring a 3–month–old infant.

The injured baby was treated for multiple rib fractures, hemorrhages, bruises, and bite marks at the University of Michigan.

Racine is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court July 24th.
