No Road Funding Vote Tuesday in Michigan House

Lawmakers won’t be returning to Lansing for a one day session to talk about road funding Tuesday.

The House announced Monday there won’t be any attendance or votes taken, signaling there is not a deal yet on a road funding solution.

Lawmakers are currently weighing a bill that passed the Senate which includes a 15 cent gas tax increase, as well as batting around their own funding ideas.

The increase in the Senate plan is likely a non-starter in the House but some sort of gas tax increase could be on the table as could a fee increase.

Lawmakers aren’t due back in Lansing until August 18th.
