December Auto Sales Down

Auto sales numbers for Chrysler, General Motors and Ford were beneath expectations for the month of December. But sales numbers were better when all of 2013 is considered. Last month, Chrysler sales were up 5.7 percent, below the 8.4 percent prediction. Ford sales last month increased only 1.7 percent, below the 4.3 percent expectation. And General Motors had a awful month, as its sales fell 6.3 percent when it expected a 1.5 percent increase. For the year, Chrysler sales were up nine percent, GM was up seven percent and Ford was up 10.8 percent.
