A Houghton man is dead after a motorcycle accident.
Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post say 52-year-old James Mewborn appeared to have suffered a medical emergency while riding a 2001 Kawasaki in Portage Township between Dodgeville and Huron Township about 5:30pm Sunday.
Police say Mewborn ran off the roadway and struck a ditch.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to factors in the crash.
