Guilty Plea for Ojibwa Correctional Murder

An inmate who pleaded guilty to his role in killing an inmate at the Ojibway Correctional Facility in Marenisco will spend up to 22 and half years in prison. 25 year old Delorean Henderson was sentenced in Gogebic County Circuit Court to a minimum of ten years in prison for his involvement in the murder of 26 year old Randolph Conner in January 2013. He will serve that time consecutively with Macomb County cases that he’s already facing time for. Henderson pleaded guilty in January to homicide-manslaughter with habitual offender, second offense status attached. He and his co-defendant, 32 year old Michael Smith are ordered to pay more than $64,000 in restitution. Smith was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in March after an eight-day trial. He will be sentenced May 8.
