A car and a logging truck collided Wednesday in Houghton County, putting one woman in the hospital.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s office responded to the accident on Tapiola Road, just south of North Lake Road just before 10:00am.
A logging truck driven by a 60 year old Pelkie man was headed south when another vehicle, driven by a 72-year-old Pelkie woman, attempted to pull out of Karvakko’s Market.
The woman was transported to Baraga County Memorial Hospital by Bay Ambulance and later transported to UP Health System Marquette.
Her condition is unknown at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
