Fatal Roll-Over Accident

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle rollover accident that claimed the life of 22-year-old woman early Saturday morning. Police say it happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the WPA road just south of the Deer River Bridge in Crystal Falls Township. A second occupant of the vehicle, a 23-year-old male, was also injured in the crash and transported to the Northstar Hospital for treatment. The names of the victims are not being released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
