Feds Approve Michigan's Medicaid Waiver

Michigan can continue to offer its expanded Medicaid program, Healthy Michigan, after the feds approved a waiver allowing the program to continue.

600,000 low-income residents are enrolled in the plan.

Governor Rick Snyder it’s come a long way, in a short amount of time, to help people get healthier and cut down on health care costs.

Healthy Michigan encourages people to get yearly physicals and take better care of themselves.

The health care coverage is extended to people at or below 133 percent of the federal poverty level, which amounts to one person making $12,000 a year.
