Finnish Enrichment Classes Being Held Today

A trio of Finnish enrichment classes are slated for this afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock.

The classes are part of the yearly Heikinpaiva celebration.

Today’s classes include wooden bird carving, korvapuusti or sweet roll making and a 5-string kantele class.

Assistant Editor for the Finnish American Reporter Dave Maki says the classes are great for Finns and non-Finns alike.

All three classes will be held at 2:00pm and 6:00pm and there is still time to take part..
