Good Year for Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers of Michigan has broken its record for successful tips.

Officials with the organization say they experienced a seven-percent increase in successful tips in 2015 compared to 2014.

Crime Stoppers received 197 successful tips, leading to 209 arrests, 195 of which were for felonies.

Overall, tips were up by 8.6 percent last year, marking the third consecutive year of increases.
