A Hancock woman will spend the next six months in jail after being sentenced in Houghton County Circuit Court on Monday.

Youmans Sentenced41-year-old Sarah Youmans was charged with Attempted Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, for which she pled no contest to as part of a plea agreement.

The incident reportedly happened in August at a Hancock residence where police say Youmans stabbed a 57-year-old man.

She was sentenced to 12 months in the Houghton County Jail with credit for 171 days time served.
