Auto Sales Reports Anticipated

Auto sales for April come out today.

Analysts say overall sales are expected to be up about three to five percent from last April–with Ford and Fiat Chrysler leading the domestics.

General Motors, which has been shifting a way from less profitable fleet sales, is expected to have another down month.

Thanks to new cars and trucks on dealer lots, all three major Japanese brands are expected to have a good month.

April sales are also expected to show a continuing shift to sport utility vehicles.
