Lawmakers Want to End “Smurfing”

It’s called “smurfing.” And state lawmakers are trying to crack down on it. The Michigan Legislature is considering a package of bills that target the purchase of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine. The drug is used in the illegal manufacturing of methamphetamine.
