Energy Emergency Order Extended To July 13th

Governor Rick Snyder says the federal government has extended an order that allows truckers transporting fuel in Michigan to spend more time on the road.

Snyder had issued the energy emergency on May 24th and extended it earlier this month in response to pipeline interruptions in Wisconsin and Detroit.

Now, that order has been extended to July 13th to ensure that gas stations can continue to meet demand.

Snyder says a fuel pipeline in Wisconsin still is down.
