New Mobile Fingerprint Scanners Already Proving Useful

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is one of five police agencies to get mobile fingerprint scanners. Sheriff Thomas Reich says they’re already proving to be useful.

Reich says a person’s fingerprints have to be on file to identify them.

He says the scanners may also be helpful to identify victims or people unable to provide identification because they’re incapacitated.
