Employment Expected To Rise

A new survey released Tuesday shows companies in Michigan expect to hire more workers in the last three months of the year.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey shows 15-percent of businesses in Michigan plan to add jobs in the fourth quarter.

That’s down slightly from a year ago.

Job prospects appear the best in manufacturing, transportation and utilities and retail.

Construction companies are among the industries cutting jobs.
