More Events Surrounding Parade of Nations

Parade of Nations dragonParade of Nations week continues with events leading up to Saturday’s annual parade and Multicultural Festival.

On Wednesday, the Keweenaw Roller Girls will host a free Open Skate for all ages at the Houghton County Arena in Hancock.

The event runs from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and participants must bring their own skates.

Thursday, the Hancock Rotary Club will host its annual Fall Winetasting fundraiser at the Finnish American Heritage Center.

The fundraiser benefits local and international projects.

On Saturday, the Parade of Nations starts in Hancock, crosses the Lift Bridge and moves through downtown Houghton to the Dee Stadium, where the Multicultural Festival will feature international food and entertainment starting at noon.

Later that evening, Breaksk8–this year’s parade headliners–will perform at the Rozsa Center at 7:30pm.  For information and tickets, click here.
