Parade of Nations & Multicultural Festival Is Tomorrow

The 27th Annual Parade of Nations takes place Saturday.

The parade steps off at 11am in front of the Quincy Green in Hancock then crosses the Portage Lake Lift Bridge and moves through downtown Houghton.

Committee member Vienna Chapin says the parade offers sights that most local residents don’t often get to see.

The parade ends at Dee Stadium where the Multicultural Festival begins at noon.

Over 20 nations will be serving up food–committee member Bob Wenc with just a few examples.

There will also be plenty of other foods and activities. Admission into the festival is free.
