Homelessness Drops in Michigan

A new report to be released this morning in Kalamazoo shows Michigan has had a significant reduction in homelessness.

The information is expected to be discussed at the Ending Homelessness in Michigan Summit at the Radisson Plaza Hotel.

As part of a six-percent drop in homelessness, researchers say veteran homelessness has dropped by 15-percent.

The report also includes an action plan for preventing and ending homelessness in Michigan.

Those details are expected to be released by the executive director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, Kevin Elsenheimer, and Health and Human Services director Nick Lyon.
