Hunters Can Expect Warmer Temps, More Deer

The Firearms Deer Hunting season begins tomorrow.

The last couple of seasons, the deer herd has been rather thin following some tough U.P. winters.

So what is the outlook this year?

Wildlife Biologist John DePue from the DNR says archery hunters have seen an improvement.

Though the milder weather has helped the deer herd rebound, the warmer temperatures this fall are causing some problems.

The firearms deer season runs from November 15th through the 30th.
