Hancock Receives Clean Audit Report

The books look good.

Debbie Bradford of Rukkila, Negro & Associates presented the 2016 Audit Report to the Hancock City Council at their monthly meeting on Wednesday.

The report was a clean, or unmodified, opinion.

City Manager Glenn Anderson noted that this was the first time in several years that there were no deficits in any fund.

The city also received $1,361,000 in federal grants for the fiscal year.

Anderson said the city has received roughly $24 million in funds over the last 20 years.
