CCISD Students Head Back To Auto Dealerships

Michigan Works! and the Copper Country Intermediate School District are working to bridge the gap between education and real life work experience by hosting Talent Tours.

The Automotive Tech classes from the CCISD will be visiting three local dealerships in the Houghton County Area today.

This tour will allow the students to see firsthand what it is like to work as a Mechanic, Parts Sales, and Service Technician while interacting with technicians who have come through the same program.

The three classes will visit Copper Country Ford, Keweenaw Chevrolet, and Northern Auto.

This is the second scheduled date for the classes taught by John Hanold and Jeff LaMuth.

In the future, the classes will have an opportunity to visit one of the other dealerships to expand their view of this growing career field.
