First Of Three Robbery Suspects Appear In Court

One of the suspects in the robbery of Northwoods Sporting Goods in Hancock appeared for a pretrial in Houghton County Circuit Court Monday.

19-year-old Jake Hugall had waived his arraignment in circuit court so a plea of Not Guilty was entered on his behalf.

A plea agreement is expected to be reached in the case when the defendant appears for his next pretrial in March.

Two other suspects in the robbery, 19-year-olds Alexander Santiago and Juan Carlos Pereyra, have yet to appear in circuit court.

Santiago has a pretrial scheduled for February 27th and a trial is scheduled for Pereyra in May.
