It may be too early to buy tickets for the Houghton County Fair, but the time is right to start getting ready if you are planning on entering one of the many competitions at the fair.
Every year, scores of entries are made into the categories of crafts, agriculture and livestock.
After all, if you are going to grow award winning beets, you have to get started in the Spring.
Bonnie DeCaire-Jones from the Houghton County Fair Association says the same thing when it comes to crafts.
Information on entering any of the competitions, including the Craft Show, Youth Talent Show or the Off-Road Races, can be found by visiting the fair website or calling their office at 482-6200.
