Cathy Isaacson was named the Exhibitor of the Year at the Houghton County Fair Friday.
The award was formerly known as the Homemaker of the Year.
Isaacson took the Silver Plate in the Needlework category. Other Silver Plates went to:
– Joan Dostler for Culinary Arts
– Billie Bloomfield for Fine Arts and Folk Arts
– Jenny Dice for Floriculture
– Bill Isaacson for Horticulture

Daphne Maki took top honors at the Youth Talent Show Thursday evening. Maki placed first in the 13-and-older division. Madison Rajala and John Francis Naasko finished second and third. Coralee Daughtery won the 12-and-under division. Annie Song and Sara Neva placed second and third.
At the hog show, Bailey Strom took Grand Champion, Lane Laux won Reserve Champion, and Kyle Mattila earned Grand Champion Showmanship.
