SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge Begins

Making snowmobiles cleaner, quieter and more efficient–and may the best team win.

The SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge is taking place this week, bringing teams of college students from across North America to compete at Michigan Tech.

The competition begins with the Endurance Run to Copper Harbor today, followed by a slew of rigorous tests throughout the week.

The public is invited to see the snowmobiles and meet the teams Wednesday evening at the Keweenaw Research Center main building on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.

The public is also invited to the performance trials Saturday beginning at 10:00 at the Keweenaw Research Center test track at the airport.
