The Marquette City Commission has accepted Duke Lifepoint’s offer to locate the new Marquette General hospital on the city’s old roundhouse property. The city will sell that location and the site currently occupied by the city Municipal Service Center for four-million dollars. Details still need to be worked out. Duke Lifepoint Eastern Group President Jeff Seraphine said this was their preferred location from the start… SERAPHINE. The 37-acre site is located just north of US-41 in Marquette. Seraphine says they hope to have the new hospital ready for use in 2017.
