A Gogebic County Road Commission employee is recovering after he was struck by a car. 52-year-old Donald Grbavich was filling potholes in Bessemer yesterday afternoon when he was hit by a car driven by 84-year-old Floyd Erickson. Police say Grbavich tried to get out of the way when he was warned by a co-worker, but was unable get out of the vehicle’s path. He was treated at Aspirus Grand View Hospital. Police say Erickson told them he did not see the workers. He was cited for Careless Driving and for a Moving Violation Causing Injury in a Work Zone.
