New Hancock City Manager Contract Approved

The contract for the new manager of the city of Hancock is now approved.

The City Council unanimously approved the contract for former Hancock mayor Barry Givens at their regular meeting Wednesday.

This concluded a second round of negotiations after an initial personnel committee was unable to reach an agreement with Givens.

The contract has a term of 25 months and includes a base annual salary of $89,500.

Givens will begin his role as city manager on December 1st.
