Abandoned Meth Lab Found In Adams Township

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of an abandoned meth lab near Baltic on Wednesday.

The abandoned lab was located by workers in the area cutting trees along the power lines.

The workers located the lab within the confines of a concrete tunnel near the old Stella Cheese Factory between Baltic and Brooklyn Location in Adams Township.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and confirmed it was indeed a meth lab.  The scene was littered with components to produce meth which appeared to be an active site within the last few months.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) were called to the scene to verify the lab and for cleanup assistance.

No arrests were made and there are no suspects currently at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff’s Department directly at 906-482-0055.
