UP Man Hit By Cement Truck

A Marquette County man is recovering after being hit by a cement truck Thursday.

Troopers from the Negaunee State Police Post responded to the accident around 10am on M-95 near Witch Lake in Republic Township.

49-year-old Dean Lindblom of Quinnesec was walking along the road when he was struck by a Champion, Inc. cement truck, headed northbound and driven by 52-year-old James Sargent of Iron Mountain.

Lindblom was taken to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
