Frostbite Warning

With the weather reaching historic lows, local doctors want to remind everyone about the dangers of frostbite. Dr. Daniel Reminga of Northern Foot Care Center says a wind chill of -20 degrees can cause frostbite to exposed skin within 20 minutes or less. Some signs of frostbite are burning pain, blisters and numbness. Dr. Reminga adds that if you feel any of these symptoms, you should seek shelter in a warm place, immerse the affected area in warm water and seek medical attention.
