New Tweens Book Group at Portage Lake District Library

The Portage Lake District Library invites students to join its newly formed Tweens Book Group for youth ages 10 – 13.

Beginning on Thursday, September 6, participants will meet at the library on the first and third Thursday of each month from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. At each meeting, book group members will decide on a topic, and each person will chose which book they want to read based on that topic. Discussions about the books they read will give participants the opportunity to explore and enjoy the vast world of literature.

The library also continues to hold its Young Adult Book Group for teens on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. For teens who love to read, no one reads the same book, yet the books are related by a common thread such as topic, genre, author, and more. Discussions are lively and in-depth.

The library also sponsors an Adult Book Group that meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. In this book group, participants read and discuss the same book each month.

These programs are free, no registration is required, people can join anytime, and they are open to all. For more information, please call the library at 482-4570.
