Free Computer and Digital Device Tutoring Returns

Students from the Computer Science Department at Michigan Tech will provide free tutoring at the Portage Lake District Library for beginning computer users starting on Saturday, January 19.

These computer help sessions with individual tutors will be held every Saturday from 9-10am except during MTU’s holiday and semester breaks.

“BASIC: Building Adults Skills in Computing” will show participants how to use the internet to keep in touch with people, share pictures and letters, find information, solve computer problems, and much more.

Tutors will help each participant with their own particular needs. People may attend as many of the sessions as they wish, and those who have laptops or smartphones may bring them.

All library programs are free and everyone is welcome. For information on library programs, please call the library at 906-482-4570.
