U.P. Group Wants LinkedIn Recognition

An Upper Peninsula business development group is asking the LinkedIn networking website to recognize the Upper Peninsula as a region.

Currently, LinkedIn assigns Yoopers either to its Duluth, Wausau, Green Bay or Saginaw regions.

Officials at InvestUP say that limits the opportunities for Upper Peninsula professionals to communicate, and often leads potential contacts to question whether they’ve found the right profile of someone with whom they wish to connect.
