Houghton Council Adjusts Meeting Schedule, Sets Special Meeting on City Center Sale

The Houghton City Council has changed its meeting schedule because of the upcoming holidays.

Instead of holding sessions the night before Thanksgiving, and on Christmas night, council will meet on December 4th and December 18th at 5:30 at the City Center.

The council also scheduled a joint public meeting with the city planning commission at 5:30 on November 12th, to discuss the potential sale of the City Center, and options for relocating city government.

The business that occupies the upper floors of the City Center has made an offer to purchase the building, and expand to the main level.
