Mohawk Man Unhurt in Marquette Personal Injury Crash

A 24-year-old Mohawk man was not hurt in a car crash in Marquette late Monday afternoon that sent one woman to the hospital.

Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies say a Ford Escape driven by a 21-year-old Illinois woman pulled out of the Target parking lot onto County Road HQ, and into the path of a Subaru Forester driven by the Mohawk man. The Subaru struck the Ford.

The front seat passenger in the Ford – a 19-year-old Marquette woman – was sent to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment of what officials called “minor injuries.”

The Illinois woman was ticketed for failure to yield.

Names of those involved have not been released.
