KCF Issues Annual Report, Looks for New Director

The Keweenaw Community Foundation is looking for a new Executive Director.

The job description posted on the Foundation’s website says the position will require about 30 hours per week. The salary is $40,000 per year, but no health or retirement benefits are offered.

They’d prefer someone with a business leadership background, and an established network of connections in the Keweenaw.

The new director will replace Jim Vivian, who led the foundation since 2014.

The KCF celebrated its 25th birthday this year. Its annual report was also released this week, and a new website was debuted. A record 1,620 donors contributed $771,224 to the KCF and the 114 community funds it manages. $212,584 was disbursed to 42 organizations, 6 scholarships, and 9 Youth Advisory Council grants. Assets have now reached $9 million.
