Marquette Police Seek Cold Case Murder Suspect

Marquette police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a nearly 32-year-old murder.

The body of 34-year-old Paul Girard was found in Presque Isle Park September 30th, 1988.

Officials have now focused on two persons of interest. One has been identified. The other is described as around 5’9”, slender build, light-colored hair, and possibly cognitively impaired. At the time of the murder he was likely between the ages of 25 and 35.
