Flags Lowered for Serviceman’s Funeral

Flags will fly at half-staff at Michigan state facilities today to honor the recent death of a serviceman.

The order issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer also requests that flags at other facilities be similarly lowered.

Army Specialist Bradley Walsh died January 8th. He was in his third year of active duty, and was stationed in Virginia.

He was born in Kalamazoo, and grew up in Hillman, in the northern Lower Peninsula. No details about his death have been provided.

Walsh’s funeral will be held today. He leaves behind a wife and unborn child.
