Swedetown Trail System Has Been Improved

The most challenging sections of the Swedetown Trail System, have been improved, just in time for this year’s Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon.

Improvements include new energy saving lights on Len’s Loop for evening skiing.

The end of Len’s Loop has also been widened, where it returns to the main trailhead.

The Powderhouse Trail, also saw various points widened, so skiers can pass, without having to change their stride.

The improvements, were made possible by Swedetown Trails Club general fund along with a grant from the Keweenaw Community Foundation’s Keweenaw Cross Country Skiing Fund.
