COVID-19 Claims Another Summer Festival

You can add this year’s 16th Annual Porcupine Mountains Music festival, to the list of Keweenaw Summer festivals cancelled due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the festival committee stated they asked all the questions, imagined all scenarios and concluded this year’s festival just wasn’t possible.

Festival Director Cheryl Sundberg had this to say.

They are working on booking the acts they had scheduled for this year’s festival, for 2021.

Tickets purchased for this year’s festival will be replaced with tickets for next year.

Information on contacting Friends of the Porkies is here. You can also call 906-231-1589.

Bridgefest, The Baraga County Lake Trout Festival, The Aura Jamboree and Dam Jam have also been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
