The Houghton County Historical Society board has canceled its 2020 summer season.
In a release sent to Keweenaw Report, president George West said the decision was difficult, but was made to maintain the safety of patrons and staff from the uncertainty of the coronavirus situation.
West said that visitors are welcome to walk around the grounds of the museum in Lake Linden, but buildings will be closed, the train will not run, and special programs will not be scheduled for the foreseeable future.
