Hancock Man Arrested After Passing Out From Using Drugs At Sheriff’s Department

A 32 year old Hancock man was taken into custody by Houghton County Sheriff’s Deputies this morning, after being found slumped over in his car, in front of the sheriff’s office, with a needle on his lap.

Authorities were alerted to the man, and when they responded, found the man passed out, after having just taken drugs intravenously.

The man recovered without medical attention, and told authorities he was waiting for his girlfriend, who had a meeting with her probation officer.

Both the man and his girlfriend were taken into custody.

The man for a bond violation from a previous case, and his girlfriend, for a probation violation.

Names were withheld, pending arraignment in the 97th District Court.
