Gogebic County Has Multiple New COVID-19 Cases

An explosion in COVID-19 cases in Gogebic County.

This from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department.

In the last two days, 15 confirmed cases, along with one probable case, which is being treated as a positive.

Houghton County also reported two new confirmed cases, along with one recovery.

Baraga County has reported one recovery.

Investigations and contact tracing are underway, from nurses with the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department, and the state.

With the “Stay Home Stay Safe” Order lifted, people need to start paying attention to social distancing and wearing a mask, according to Health Officer Kate Beer.

Staying home, when you’re not feeling well, will also help.

With the new cases, the Western Upper Peninsula now has 74.
