MDOT Public Meeting Goes Well

The public has spoken and it sounds like they are ready for the Portage Lake Lift Bridge Rehab project to begin. Last night, the Michigan Department of Transportation held a public meeting at Michigan Tech for discussion on the project. Zenith Tech Inc., the contractors who will be working on the job, were also present and project manager Joel Christopherson spoke about how the meeting went.

Many of the questions came from employers who were worried about their employees being late due to the delays and Christopherson says the only thing set in stone will be the two full-night closures.

Detailed information on the project will be available through a link at KeweenawReport.com.
