Unlock Michigan Collecting Signatures

Unlock Michigan will be hosting several signature gathering events throughout the Copper Country, over the next few weeks.

They’re hoping to collect enough signatures to initiate legislation that would repeal the Emergency Powers of Governor Act of 1945, which critics of Governor Whitmer say she has abused during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can stop by the Copper Country Mall parking lot on Thursday from 5-7:30pm.

Baraga County will be collecting signatures at the Baraga US-41 Park and Ride on August 13th from 5-7pm.

Representative Greg Markkanen will be the special guest and Keweenaw County will be collecting signatures at Mohawk Park from noon-3pm on August 15th.
