Michigan Treasury Department Reminds Taxpayers and Tax Professionals Digital Signatures Are Acceptable

Michigan’s Department of Treasury is reminding taxpayers and tax professionals that the use of digital signatures is allowed in ongoing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Using digital signatures allows both groups to work remotely and file forms in a timely manner.

State Treasurer Rachael Eubanks said “ Permitting our paper forms to be signed digitally lessens the risk of in-person contact. We continue to work with taxpayers and tax professionals with filing requirements during this uncertain time.”
