MEAP Test Results

The latest report from the Michigan Educational Assessment Program found students in the eighth grade have made great progress in reading, but third graders are still struggling. The MEAP results were released Friday and showed gains in science and writing for students in all grades but math and reading results are mixed across the board. The biggest decline in test scores compared to 2012 was in social studies. Michigan Department of Education officials say the results of the MEAP tests are promising for students with disabilities but found an increase in achievement gaps for black students statewide.
