Finlandia flips flapjacks for a cause

Finlandia’s Student Nursing Association is planning another pancake breakfast to help support Omega House in Houghton. The fundraiser warms up the griddles from 8:30 AM to noon on Saturday, April 10th. You are allowed to order the day of the event, but food will be provided through curbside pick-up only at Gloria Dei church of Hancock. If you plan on stopping by, please park behind the building located at 1000 Quincy Street.

Tickets are available from any SNA member at a cost of $5. In addition to the meal, fruit and baked goods will be for sale along with small raffles every 15 minutes. Once an hour, a larger raffle will take place that gives away valuable prizes from area businesses.

Omega House is a hospice facility that provides end-of-life care in a warm and friendly environment. Every resident receives holistic care and staff are trained to help mitigate pain. Veterans make up roughly a third of Omega House’s members. It is active in creating funds to help them lower the cost of their care.
